Na listi Vesna v poklon Manci Košir prazno mesto
Na zadnji seji Državne volilne komisije (DVK) so razpravljali o kandidatni listi stranke Vesna za prihajajoče evropske volitve, ki je bila zaznamovana s smrtjo znane novinarke in publicistke Mance Košir. Listo je DVK že pred časom potrdil, vendar je postopanje v primeru smrti kandidata zakonsko nepredvideno. Na koncu so se odločili, da na listi pustijo prazen prostor pod zaporedno številko osem, kjer bi sicer stalo ime pokojne kandidatke.
DVK je za svojo odločitev našel pravno podlago v eni izmed preteklih sodb Vrhovnega sodišča, po kateri lista, ki je bila vložena s pravilno spolno kvoto, ne more trpeti posledic zaradi objektivnih sprememb. Tako je DVK v skladu s sodno prakso ravnal in omogočil, da se kljub smrti ene izmed kandidatk listo ohrani v originalni obliki.
Sopredsednica stranke Vesna, Urša Zgojznik, je po seji izrazila zadovoljstvo z odločitvijo, poudarila je, da je takšna rešitev spoštljiva do spomina na Manco Košir in hkrati pravno korektna. Stranka je bila na vse možne scenarije dobro pripravljena, zaradi česar so bili pripravljeni sprejeti vsako odločitev, ki bi ohranjala integriteto vložene liste.
DVK je poleg tega potrdil kandidatne liste drugih političnih strank, vključno s strankami Svoboda, SDS, SD, Levica, SLS in zunajparlamentarnimi strankami Resni.ce, NSi ter Vesna. Prav tako so skupno listo vložili DeSUS in Dobra država. Rok za vlaganje kandidatnih list se izteče 10. maja 2024, pri čemer so svoje namere napovedale še stranke Zelena Slovenija, Pirati in lista Nič od tega. DVK bo o veljavnosti teh list odločal naslednji dan, 11. maja 2024, medtem ko je za ponedeljek predviden žreb vrstnega reda kandidatnih list na glasovnicah.
